Attorney-to-Attorney Referral Network

Understanding that no single firm can specialize in all areas of law, we engage in attorney-to-attorney referrals to ensure that clients always receive the best possible representation for their specific needs. Our referral network is designed to be mutually beneficial for both the referring and receiving attorneys while prioritizing the client’s best interests, in strict compliance with Section 1.5 of the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct (MRPC).
Referring Matters to Our Firm
We welcome referrals from attorneys across various practice areas. If you encounter a matter outside your expertise or capacity and believe our firm can better serve the client’s needs, we are open to discussing a referral arrangement. In recognition of the trust placed in us, referring attorneys will receive a referral fee, as agreed upon in compliance with MRPC 1.5. We are committed to ensuring that all referral agreements are transparent, fair, and fully documented, with the client’s informed consent obtained upfront.
Our Firm Referring Matters Out
There are occasions when, due to specialization, jurisdiction, or capacity issues, we seek external attorneys to better serve our clients’ needs. In these instances, we refer matters to trusted attorneys or firms that possess the requisite expertise and resources. We negotiate referral fees as part of these arrangements, always in compliance with MRPC 1.5, and with full transparency and consent from our clients.
Compliance with MRPC 1.5
All our referral fee arrangements comply with the requirements of MRPC 1.5, ensuring that fees are reasonable and proportionate to the services performed. We obtain informed consent from our clients in writing, disclosing the nature of the referral agreement and the basis of the referral fee. Our priority is maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, safeguarding our clients’ interests at all times.
